Invite Jack to Speak

Plain-English talks for real people.

I volunteer my time to help neighbors stay safe from scams and online fraud. If your group would like a talk, I'd be glad to hear from you.

Topics

What I can talk about.

  • Protecting seniors from scams and AI voice cloning

How phone fraud, fake tech support, and AI-copied voices work, and simple habits that stop them.

  • Staying safe online: families and small businesses

Strong passwords, spotting phishing, and what to do the moment something goes wrong. No jargon.

  • A working person's path into technology

Building a career through certifications and hard work instead of a four-year degree.

A taste

Five habits that stop most scams.

  1. Slow down. Scammers rely on urgency, so a request that says "act now" is a warning sign.
  2. Hang up and call back. Look up the real phone number yourself instead of using the one the caller gives you.
  3. Set a family code word. If someone calls in a loved one's voice asking for money, ask for the word.
  4. Never pay with gift cards, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency. Real agencies and companies don't ask for them.
  5. Don't click links or open attachments in unexpected messages. Go to the company's website directly.
Who it's for

Groups I'd love to meet.

  • Church and faith groups
  • Senior centers and retirement communities
  • Neighborhood and homeowner associations
  • Civic clubs and community organizations
  • Schools, libraries, and parent groups

Scam-awareness talks are non-political and open to everyone. I don't ask groups for money or votes at these events.
